Can't think of a way to help the abbey? Here are some ways you can benefit the abbey.
Saving Grace. A volunteer program in which Oblates bring personal care items to Oblate meetings. Drop them in the Saving Grace box. This program also lets you know of great savings and coupon deals for personal care products. Would you like to give the abbey a $2.45 item, but spend only 45 cents? Here is the Introduction to the Saving Grace program. Periodic posts will describe where to shop for the best deals. Of course, you can buy any item anywhere and drop it in the box.
Retreat Help. Abbot Isaac asked for couples or teams of two people who would help the Abbey during the retreats the Abbey hosts for outside groups. You would stay overnight as the Abbey’s guest and help out if the someone gets locked out of their room or the group needs help with such things as finding the coffee and finding their way around the Abbey.
The Abbey has retreat groups throughout the year and there could be several pairs of these Retreat Angels.
Welcome Center. Abbot Isaac also would like people to serve as Welcome Center Hosts or Hostesses to help show Benedictine hospitality to the many people who visit the Abbey and come to the Welcome Center. The Abbot suggested you could read in the Welcome Center and answer questions from visitors and show them around to the public areas of the abbey.

Help Restore the Abbey. The abbey is continuing its renovations. You may also volunteer for scraping or sanding or other renovation work. The monks are working nearly every day on the second floor and will appreciate all your help.
You may find that while helping to restore the abbey, the abbey will also be restoring you.
