Gospel of John Assigned for February 2, 2014.  Abbot Isaac, O.S.B., asked that we read the Book of Saint John for next Oblate Sunday's Oblate class.  He said we should read the footnotes and any commentaries we have on Saint John's Gospel.  He will talk about the structure of the Gospel of John and asked we each come to the class with a question.

Gospel of John Resources.  To help in our further reading of Saint John, here are online resources. They were not assigned or selected by Abbot Isaac, O.S.B.  The following materials are from many different traditions and theology, please use sound discretion as you read:

  1. I have been reading St Thomas Aquinas' Commentary on John. Have nothing to compare it with but it does get heavy in the mystical interpretaations

  2. Thanks Bill, that's a good resource.
