About

This is the blog for the St. Leo Abbey Oblate Chapter. Whether you are an oblate, oblate novice, or welcomed guest, we hope this blog is a handy way for you to know what is happening in the St. Leo Abbey oblate program.

This blog was started August 19, 2010 and is inspired by the dear monks of St. Leo Abbey. It is our prayer to help all oblates dwell with God and to follow the 1,500-year-old tradition of the Rule of St. Benedict which states:

"As we advance in the religious life and faith, we shall run the way of God's commandments with expanded hearts and unspeakable sweetness of love; so that never departing from His guidance and persevering in the monastery in His doctrine till death, we may by patience share in the sufferings of Christ, and be found worthy to be coheirs with Him of His kingdom." From the Prologue.
